Chase Deso is a composer based in Los Angeles. Over the last 20 years he has developed a unique composition style that blends an experimental and technical edge while embracing the beauty and tradition of acoustic instrumentation.
He has scored multiple Emmy award nominated shows and films, including Ozark (NETFLIX), Pieces of Her (NETFLIX), Monster Inside (HULU), Fear the Walking Dead (AMC), Pepsi, Where’s My Jet (NETFLIX), The Curse of Von Dutch (HULU), The Lady and The Dale (HBO), The Outsider (HBO).
Born and raised in Texas, Chase was influenced at an early age not only by the exploding blues and jazz scene in Dallas, but by the experimental music coming out of Denton and NYC in the 90’s. He also spent many afternoons with his grandfather in his TV repair shop learning about electronics and technology. This combination contributed heavily to his embracing of modern technology and production techniques, which still utilize acoustic instrumentation rooted in the past.
After Graduating Berklee College of Music in 2009, Chase moved to New York City where he became a long time collaborator with Saunder Jurriaans and Daniel Bensi. He currently works out of his studio in the historic Glassell Park neighborhood in Los Angeles.
